Dear Honorable Council:
I hereby request a transfer of Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000) from account "Reserve for Unforeseen" to the Police Budget. It is not
unusual at this time of year to need to supplement the Police Overtime Account. In addition, Chief Mark Ray has stepped up the levels of

training needed for a fully effective police force.
The attached memo to me from Financial Director, John Dunn, further outlines this matter. Currently the Reserve for Unforeseen account
has a balance of $141 ,311. This requested action represents the only transfer from this account thus far in the fiscal year. Thank you.
