Beverly CATV Advisory Commission Meeting

PUBLIC:
(BEVCAM) Walt Kosmowski, Dennis Heslet, Don Berman.
· A quorum being present Steve opened meeting at 7: 00
· Public Comments: None.
· Old business:
The minutes of the June 1 ih CATV Advisory Commission meeting were read and
accepted for posting on the Beverlyma.gov web site.
There was no report from Comcast as to the channels 2,4, 5, and 7 outages as G.
Johnson was not present.
· New business:
Dennis Heslet presented the monthly BevCam report re: Staff, Productions, and
Project Outreach. Dennis announced he is stepping down as executive director of
BevCam and will become director of training. Walter Kosmowski will become executive
director
· Correspondences received;
Steve reported that he received, via Mayor Scanlon's office, various complaints
that Comcast had moved channels 40 and 58 and 3. Steve reiterated that the CATV
advisory commission has no control over Comcast's station alignment and pricing.
· Steve will invite Jason Whittet of Com cast to the August meeting to explain Comcast's
moving of channels, and analog to digital issues.
· Eric reported he had been in contact with Russ Fisk regarding meeting with Eric and
Dan on I-NET issues... no meeting date has been set.
· Dan suggested that CATV AlC present help to seniors with the analog to digital
experience. Don Berman ofBevCam stated that BevCam is also pursuing this.
Discussion followed with no findings.
· The next meeting was set for Tuesday, August 19th at the BevCam office
at 7:00 P.M.
· At 7:55 P.M. a motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting.
