Board members present: Bruce Doig, Elizabeth Caputo, Albert W. Churchill, Jr" Kevin Hobin,
Jane Lyman, and Ivy Mahan
Board members absent: Donald Anastasi., David Gardner, Ann Harney
Others present: Joan Fairbank, Recreation Director, Tom Scully, and Phil Klimowicz
Plans for a skating rink at Dix Park were discussed and approved pending approval by Dan Murphy and the
Insurance company.
New camp fees were approved as requested.
Public meeting to discuss the plan for Playground Equipment will be either Jan 20 or 27 at the Library.
Joan discussed letters she wrote to the Planning Board and the Maplewood neighbors regarding the the
Commissions refusal to accept the plan for playground equipment at both Maplewood and Wentworth.
These letters are awaiting approval by the City Solicitor.
Jane Lyman thanked Joan and her staff for their hard work this year. She also thanked Phil Klimowicz for
all his great work this year.
