Mr. Lawler called the meeting to order at 7 p.m.

Minutes of May 16, 2006
Mr. Klein motioned to approve the minutes of May 16, 2006, seconded by
Mr. Barger. Motion carried 4-0.

Historic Building Status
Mr. Barger stated that Mr. Dunn, Tina Cassidy and Ray Bouchard are
currently studying the process of removing the club house from the
Historical District Registrer and life safety issues outlines in the Gale

Report. He also indicated that this is a long process but Ray Bouchard is
studying the life safety issues that need immediate attention.
Mr. Lawler also indicated that Mr. Ascolillo is investigating the possibility
of grant money.

Monthly Finance Report
Mr. Lawler distributed an updated copy of the Finance Report reviewed it
with the Commission. Please see attached copy.
Mr. Lambert suggested asphalting the tennis courts rather than paying
$12,000 per year to have them resurfaced.

Golf Course Architect/USGA Visit Update
Mr. Barger started by reviewing the USGA Tour results with the
Commission. The USGA recommended they hire an engineer to work with
the golf course architect. He was given three referrals he will contact for
information regarding their firms.

Trees & Labor
Mr. Ekstrom stated that Norwell Engineering has done drainage issues
which is the main concern for the course and they work well with Concom.
He also indicated that they continue to clean trenches. The USGA Report
also recommended smaller tines for airrating. He stated that he will do it in
the fall. The weather has to be dry for the top dressing of surfaces. He also
indicated that he follows all the recommendations stated in the USGA
Report.
Mr. Ekstrom stated that he has worked well with Phil Klimowitz on tree
removal in the past. He also indicated that he will compose a list with Phil
for future tree removal and pruning.
Mr. Lawler stated that the tee boxes on 7,8 and 9 are affecting the greens.
Also some plywood is covering some ditches and asked Mr. Ekstrom to
investigate these issues. He also indicated that the maintenance shed is
beyond repair and should be included in the Master Plan and relocated. He
also indicated that he would like to see the cart paths extended on the plan as
well.

Mr Ekstrom indicated that they now emply 11 full-time employees. One
employee is a part-time mechanic. They are all fully trained and due to the
excessive rain fall, are trying to keep up with the mowing.

USGA Master Plan Walk-thru
Mr. Ekstrom proposed walking through the print of the course and make
certain indications on the plan for discussion with Brian from USGA at the
next meeting. Mr. Barger will invite Brian to the July 11 meeting. He
indicated that the shaded areas are the improved drainage locations.

Improve drainage by creating slit trenches, finish cart path, remove tree
stumps, grub out clear area, seed and maintain, consider changing green.

Pave road, level tees, clear out brush, needs drainage, maybe add tee and
move back brush, cart path, possibly create cart path plan for entire course.

Enlarge tee, trim or remove overhanging trees, finish or redo cart path.

Tree work, prune roots, enlarge pipe size for drainage.

They indicated that this drainage needs immediate attention, the tee area has
water breading out of the hillside and the water goes right into the approach.

Remove Willows, tree roots, there is a drainage blockage, possibly dig up
cart path to fix blockage.

Get Brian’s advice on cart path improvements.

Review tree removal or trimming, Suggest moving foot bridge for cart path
convenience, eliminate soggy area.

Remove debris on tree line, the trees on the backside of the green screen
parking lot, just trim them and trim hedges.

Do away with loop and restore tee to original shape, review cart path.

Clean out drain in pond, add tee, remove and clean up tree area, renovate
bunkers.

Clean up piles, white grubs, move shed, do tree line work.

Tennis Update
Mr. Lawler stated that Mr. Mercier has the courts up and running and are in
excellent shape. He also indicated that O’Connell Plumbing is working on
the handicap bathrooms. He will approach Johnson Golf Management
regarding a new roller for the courts.
Mr. Ekstrom indicated that Johnson Golf Management has an agreement
with Mr. Mercier regarding the upkeep and supplies for the tennis court area.
He will review the specifics with Mr. Johnson and provide them to the
Commission.

New Business
Mr. Lawler suggested creating a putting green in the old pool area. He also
indicated putting this suggestion on the Master Plan but wants to move
quickly on this.
Mr. Ekstrom suggested that the Commission get an estimate but indicated
that Johnson Golf Management can do it at cost.
Mr. Ascolillo stated that he spoke to Art Daneault regarding handicap
parking spaces. Mr. Daneault indicated that they were not properly marked
or painted and asked that the Commission follow through with this. Mr.
Daneault will also investigate grant money for handicap accessibility
improvements.
Mr. Ascolillo and Mr. Richardson arrived late.
Mr. Barger motioned to adjourn at 8:55 p.m., seconded by Mr. Klein.
Motion carried 6-0.
