ANNUAL MEETING OF MEMBERS
NOVEMBER 20, 2003
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT:

D. Bennan called the meeting to order at 7: 10 PM. He eXplained the difference between the two
ballots that had been distributed to members - the ones mailed to members' homes (numbered)
and the blue ballots (not numbered). Members were asked to exchange their white ballots for the
blue ballots.
CO-PRESENTERS:
Berman outlined the agenda for the evening.
· Presentation of minutes from the last members' meeting
· Two-minute presentations by each of the candidates seeking election to the BevCam Board
· Voting; tabulation of votes
· Brief presentation about BevCam;
Brief description of training opportunities at BevCam;
Announcement of two !3oard members elected;
Adjournment of the meeting
Opportunity to hear Beverly High School's Jazz Band perfonn live in the old studio
The minutes of the annual members meeting (September 19,2002) were approved as presented.
The candidates running for election to the BevCam Board (Mr. Paul Earl, Dr. Mavis Jaworski,
Mr. Rick Lord and Mr. Tom Scully) each addressed the members regarding qualifications and
interest in serving as a BevCam Board member.
While the votes were being tabulated (by George Johnson, Chair of the Beverly Cable
Commission; Felicia DeMay-Bennan, volunteer; monitored by Steve Pike and Henry Stelline,
volunteers), D. Bennan delivered an illustrated presentation* that featured:
· BevCam - its mission and vision

BevCam standards and how it operates
· Outreach efforts
Membership categories and fees for 2004
· Chronology highlights of2003
· Acknowledgements of several individuals and organizations who had contributed time,
equipment, talent during 2003

Training: R. McCausland
McCausland reported that training would begin in mid-January 2004. Members could sign up for
training on either analog or digital equipment. Infonnation on training opportunities will be sent
to BevCam members.
Voting Results: G. Johnson
George Johnson presented the results to the membership. There were 81 votes cast by the
membership:
Paul Earl - 30 votes
Mavis Jaworski - 53 votes
Rick Lord - 23 votes
Tom Scully - 53 votes
Dr. Jaworski and Mr. Scully are the two newly-elected Board of Directors, each to serve a three-
year tenn.
Mr. Johnson commended all the candidates for their interest in BevCam and reminded the
membership that BevCam operates to serve the community of Beverly and its various interests.
D. Bennan reinforced the comments by G. Johnson. He then adjourned the meeting at 8:30 PM.
