2005-01-04 City of Beverly, Massachusetts Public Meeting Minutes Board: Council on Aging Subcommittee: nJa Date: Tuesday, January 4, 2005 Place: Beverly Council on Aging/Senior Community Center Board Members present: Joe Dettorre, Tom Scully, Robert Marshall, Bruce Doig, Brad Gaige Board Members absent: Mary Lou Mital, Cynthia Montalbano, Kathy Burns, Bob Murphy, Peter Nuccio Others present: Leslee Breen, Director Joe called meeting to order at 2:35 p.m. SECRETARY'S REPORT: December minutes were approved as read. DIRECTOR'S REPORT: Building use for December was 3 Beanos, I Board of Health, 1 City, 1 recreation. Leslee discussed several personnel issues. Leslee reported there have been some problems with hosting the gay and gray group. COMMITTEE REPORTS: Friends meeting-agreed to pay for heating coil repairs. LEGISLATIVE REPORT: No report. OLD BUSINESS: A. Writing ClasslHistorical Documentation-Fred Hammond is working on. B. Traffic Light- On hold until spring. e. City Council Presentation-Tentative time February 7th, time TBA. It was suggested to invite Mary Grant NEW BUSINESS: Bob asked about disaster sites/policies. Leslee and Bruce explained what their understanding was of how the City responds. Leslee also stated that the senior center is a Red Cross disaster site and that Sheila is on the response team. ' PUBLIC COMMENTS: None. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Entertainment books are still on sale. The Red Cross is collecting for the disaster. The meeting was adjourned. NEXT MEETING: FEBRUARY 1, 2005 2:30 p.m. at the Senior Center.
