establishing some 2-HOUR PARKING in the vicinity of their store. Commuters are
parked in this vicinity all-day and customers have no short' term parking to visit these
local shops.
Please take the necessary action to amend City of Beverly Ordinances, Chapter 14,
Section 126, Two-hour parking as follows:

Constitution of the commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Beverly Charter
Commission elected by the citizens of Beverly on November 2, 1999 hereby submits
a proposed revision to the Beverly City Charter. The enclosed proposed charter
revision was approved by a majority of the Charter Commission members at its
scheduled meeting on Wednesday, April 4, 2001.

Ordered: Amend Sec 2-4, City vehicles, as follows:
(a) Marking. All vehicles, with the exception of the following: vehicle to be
designated by the police chief, vehicles designated for police undercover use, and
vehicle to be designated by the fire chief, shall be properly marked with the
decalcomanias on both sides and the rear, including job title. Such decalcomanias
shall be at least eleven (11) inches in diameter and shall contain the city seal, with
"City of Beverly" and "Job Title" in letters at least two (2) inches high.
