1. Progress report on City Hall improvements
Restoration of Washington's portrait
Possible donation from Loring Family toward restoration cost.
Project will take two months to complete.
Brass plaques initiative
Hurlburt has contacted someone to restore the brass plaques.
Framing of Councilor pictures
Todd is contacting potential donors.
Window treatments
Shropshire will contact Tony Conte, Calico Corners.
The estimated cost of the fabric is $1,034.
Lennox suggested seeking individual donors per window at $150
Photographs of 'Before' and 'After' will be taken by Hurlburt
Murals
Not finalized yet. Lennox will make inquiries at Montserrat.
McDonalds mural moving cost estimate $40,000.

Discussion regarding Hurlburt and Lennox attending a subcommittee
meeting of the Rotary.
4. Traffic island inventory update
Lombardi presented an inventory of city traffic islands with photographs
and comments on current condition and signage, compiled by Todd.
Kerr suggested that a letter be sent to island sponsors, thanking them for
their participation and giving design and maintenance guidelines and
signage requirements. Present signs will be phased out over three years
and replaced by uniform, city owned signs

The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
The next meeting of the Committee will be held on September 9, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. in the
Committee Room at City Hall.
