RE: Surplus Vehicles.
I request the following two vehicles be declared surplus properly and sold, and that
the proceeds of such sales be credited to the accounts of the Beverly Police
Department:
1994 Ford LGT/CON mobile unit 3FCMF53GORJB04067 The Ford obtained by the
city under grant and has not proven to be useful for police purposes to an
extent which would justify cost of ownership, maintenance and storage.
1988 BMW Motorcycle VIN WB1047805J6152207. The motorcycle has not been
operation for a period of years and is taking up space which could be used for
other police purposes.
The Department will use the proceeds of any disposition of these vehicles for the
acquisition of vehicles and equipment more appropriate to the needs of the Police
Department.
