ordinances. Specifically, we would like you to review the report submitted by the
Mayor's Ordinance Review Committee (Mayor's committee), which outlines their

Dear Council:
RE: Request for C-Way Stop Sign, Stone & Bartlett S~Teet
We have been asked to look into the possibility of establishing a 4-Way STOP at the
intersection of Stone and Bartlett Streets. We have checked this location and found
it does meet the warrants for a 4-Way Stop.
Currently, this intersection has STOPS on Bartlett St., both sides of Stone St. We are
requesting the addition of STOPS on Stone St., Both sides of Bartlett St. to make this a
4-way STOP.
In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 89, Section 9, of the Massachusetts
General Laws, and Chapter 14, Section 86, of the revised ordinance of the City of
Beverly, we request the following stop signs:
ADD: Stone Street, Northbound and Southbound drivers on Stone St.
at Bartlett St.
This would make this intersection a 4-Way STOP at Stone and Bartlett Streets.
Very truly yours,
Dennis O. Tarsook, Traffic Sergeant
