1670-04-29[April 29, 1670] th At a general town meeting this 29 of April 1670 it is ordered & generally voted that there shall not be any of the town land lying in Common disposed of upon any account but by the consent of the whole at a General Town Meeting legally warned. Further, at the same meeting it is voted for preventing the dividing of the said Commons that they shall abide in Common as they now are & not be divided without the consent of the whole. By a general town meeting legally warned if six considerable men in the town oppose the division it shall not be granted. It is also agreed upon and choice made by the inhabitants that Lieut. DixsyWilliam Rayment Humphrey Woodberry sen.Thomas Pickton Samuel Corning sen.John Dodge sen. shall perfect the bounds between Wenham and us and to rectify these bounds that adjoin unto our Commons that we may know the extent of them & to make return unto the town by the last of May ensuing.
