approved by the Board of Aldermm and the Board of Appeals several years ago. Dunhnm Castle
~ondominium on Dunham Road and Dane Square condominiums on Dane Street were approved in
the 1980s with conditions. One specific condition indicates that a certain nmnber of units in each
de~iul~u~nt be set aside for f~t..~me homebuy~'s from i~'~a'ly.
Whene~r the owner of one of these affordable housing units wishes to sell his m her condominium,
the d__eed_ res~ctie~t for the units require the own~ to notify the Cit% The Cit~ then attempts to fred a

Kevin Syroka v. City of Beverly. Contractor was working at Edwards
School when ceiling fell on him. Plaintiff received award of $50,000.
Case has recently been settled for $38,000
