The general subject of Commission meeting times and member schedules was
discussed. A 7:30am meeting time was agreed as the most convenient for Commission
meetings. Monthly meetings on the first Thursday of the month were planned. The next
meetings are Sep 5, Oct 3, and Nov 7.
A discussion of resolving cable TV service issues, identification of responsible
people, and the possibility of an internet web page to provide public information was
discussed. This discussion will continue as part of the Commission responsibilities under
Article 7 of the Cable TV License Agreement. Additional copies of the License were
requested from ATT and will be available at the next meeting. A copy of the transcript
from the ATT/Comcast public hearing meeting April 16, 2002 was requested from ATT.
Items brought up at that Hearing related to Cable TV service issues will be extracted and
carried forward as part of the Commissions oversight responsibility.
BevCam cable TV broadcast was successfully moved from the ATT studio to the
planned area of the Patten wing at Beverly High School. Don Berman and Jane Lyman
reported the activity and progress since the last Commission meeting. A summary of
those topics is attached. All funds currently due BevCam through the License Agreement
have been provided by ATT.
A status report on the Beverly I-Net (Institutional Network) was requested for the
next meeting.
