Meeting called to order: 2:35 pm
Secretary's Report: Minutes were accepted as written.
Pursuant to Governor Baker's March 12, 2020 order suspending certain provisions of the Open
Meeting Law, GLC 30A S18 and the Governor's March 15, 2020 order imposing strict
limitations on the number of people that may gather in one place, this meeting of the BCOA
Board of Directors will be conducted via remote participation to the greatest extent possible.
Director's Report
Building Concerns and Usage
The staff of the Board of Health has vacated the COA First floor conference room.
New wiring for city-wide Wi-Fi will be installed and online in January 2021.
Sprinkler system along with Fire alarm issues have been successfully addressed.
Late December 2020 a new web-based phone system was installed.
Building Inspection by the City inspectional services on January 7, 2021.
Administration and Finances
December Financial Reports reviewed.
Title 11B 2021 Rollover Contract discussed.
Title V1 Program Compliance is ongoing.
The FEMA 209 Report is submitted weekly to MEMA.
Personalized letters will be sent to all the organizations that contributed to the gift basket project;
Medtronics, Beverly Middle School, City Hall, Beverly Public Library, Landmark at Oceanview,
McLane Law Offices, Stephanie Tallo and North Shore Bank.
Program and Events
Winter Outreach Program
750 personalized holiday cards mailed
150 gift baskets delivered
50 people who lost spouses this year,received a visit and carnation from social workers.
200+handmade cards by Beverly students delivered to MOW clients.

Distributing 40 bags of fresh groceries bi-weekly along with our partnership with Beverly
Bootstraps.
Zoom practice groups offered with our social work intern.
Daily Stretch calls through January 2021.
Beverly High School Track Walking Club is ongoing weather permitting.
BCOA Puzzle and book swap,M/W mornings.
Holiday Party at Home &NYE Senior Soiree at Home.
City-wide Newsletter mailing to take place—March 2021.
Discussion on craft Grab & Go Programs.

Case review with AD, Social Worker, Outreach Coordinator, MSW Intern and Director ongoing
Personnel Updates
New Hire—Full time Outreach Coordinator-Clare Mulvihill
The City has offered all city employees access to free COVID testing. Once in December and
again in January.
The staff have moved to an every-other day schedule of two cohorts until the 4 of cases are down
significantly or when enough have been vaccinated.

Grant Committee
The committee met within the context of the meeting, one grant application with a request to
resubmit when their new housing becomes available.
