Administrative and Finance
FY2022 year-end report will be available at the September board meeting
Make sure minutes of BCOA meeting are sent to MaryAnn one week before each meeting
Discussed alternative venues and areas of concern for Senior Day
Programs and Events
Victoria reviewed job duties for Senior Day at the Park.
Extraordinarily successful retirement reception for Marjorie discussed
Discussed theme for September Senior Center Month
July regularly scheduled activities were held
Personnel updates
Bill Burke is temporary transportation director. He can work 1200 hours per year. Interviewed
one person for the permanent position.
Activities Coordinator interviews underway—2 candidates offered, and rejected the offer for
other positions.
Unfinished Business
COVID update—2 employees positive/out of work. BCOA continues to encourage use of masks
but not mandated
Ocean View—all residents moved out prior to closing date of 7/19/22
A/C concerns—City response to issue remains to be seen
Bus driver hired for summer months to cover vacations - 12 hour/temporary staffing
Grants Committee:
eight air conditioners were given out this summer to qualified applicants.
Awards Committee:
Director has purchased plaque, gift, and placard for Senior of the Year presentation.
