Director's Report
Building Concerns and Usage
Putting Sidewalks in along Colon St. -street still blocked some days
National Grid still working on Colon St.
Carpet budgeted for replacement in program office—on order

Parking lot potholes filled in—just a band-aid solution
Administration and Finances
Review of YTD budgets - overtime already spent on YTD Budget. Plan to borrow money from
another line item.
Snow blowing discussion with Mike Collins due to Building Manager's medical leave
Enterprise Fund-revenues still falling behind expenses for some instructors. Need to work on
increasing participation levels.
Programs and Events
Breakfast Club Update—Starting next Thursday. Dr. Manville, former BHS principal plans to
attend
Free class coupons for new participants—only 5 redeemed for 3011 Anniversary
Alan Labella hired for holiday event. Sponsored by Blueberry Hill. Pie, ice cream, and dance
party in December.
Tai Chi instructor will do class for$25/class after MaryAnn pointed out that we were paying him
more than what we were collecting from students.
Holiday music by 2 groups at lunchtime in December. Beverly High School Choir Group and a
local Arpeggione Ensemble.
Meetings/Activities/Clients/Clients of Concern
Holiday Outreach underway. Sixty gift bags for Seniors in need donated by Medtronic; other
groups also donated.
Outreach team is seeing big increase in Fuel Assistance applications

Wall of Fame Event very successful. MaryAnn thanked all Board members for their help and
participation. Reviewed write-up of the event.

Front desk has Covid Test Kits to give out
ARPA Funds request-no update.

BMEA/City Job Description Review—no update
Policy on what to post on the community bulletin board—Next BOD meeting
Transition planning for Executive Director discussed. Folder passed out and discussed. Director
talked about memories of working with Council of Aging. Executive Director thanked current
BOD members.
