Julie Flowers, City Council President,called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. City Clerk, Lisa Kent, took
attendance by roll call.
Members Present: Julie Flowers,Hannah Bowen,Brendan Sweeney,Todd Rotondo, Danielle Spang,
Steven Crowley, Scott Houseman, Kathleen Feldman, Matthew St. Hilaire
Members Absent: None
Also Present: Director of Grants Catherine Barrett
Councilor Bowen led the pledge of allegiance.
Comments by Citizens:
Vanessa Ford, 180 Lothrop Street, spoke about the schools and requested an open Q&A form with the
Mayor and budgeting leadership, for Mayor Cahill to address the Council regarding the budget for
schools, and City Councilors to approve requests from the School Committee.
Caleb MacCaulay,3 Henderson Road, addressed the Council to speak in support of investment in public
schools.
Brendan Landry, 3 Greenleaf Drive, spoke about the schools asked the Council subpoena members of
the School Committee and the Mayor to answer questions at a future meeting.
Katie Craft, 1 Emily Way,mentioned her concerns for school funding in the city and expressed her
support for the Council to find a way to fund schools whether it be reallocating resources or leveraging
the Beverly tax rates.
Stefanie dalbert,2 Greening Way,asked the City Council, School Committee, and Mayor to assist in the
ongoing negotiations with the teachers' union.
Public Hearings:
Order#288-7:45 PM-National Grid-WR# 30992374 to install underground facilities on Margin Street.
President Flowers opened the public hearing at 7:45 PM.National Grid representative Michael Cuzzati
was present.No members of the public were in attendance to speak on this matter. President Flowers
explained that this order can be referred to Committee of the Whole upon approval from the Committee
on Public Services' Chair. Since approval was given, this matter was referred to the Committee of the
Whole. A motion to approve was made and seconded. A vote was taken, and motion carried(9-0).

operations at the Council on Aging.
