from Roger Leblanc for the concrete pad for the bench. The plaque for the bench will be priced
separately. Jan Pierce got a price from Tognazzi Monuments of$2700. Ken McKay found a
bench online that costs$700. The bench needs to have wood slats with wrought iron.

weather. Chuck Clark spoke with Ron Genest and the cookout will be moved to the Spear Post.

from C&C Auto Parts for$500.
6. New Business
o Reimbursement for a Veteran -A homeless veteran is now being housed at Beverly Commons
using Chapter 115. The only way for the State to allow him to get the housing was to have David
Perinchief put him up in a hotel for a week. The final cost of the hotel was$926.38. Cory
Paulette made a motion to reimburse the State. Motion was seconded and carried.
AdvisoryVeterans i
o Donations—Donations totaling$575 were received for the Veterans Homecoming Cookout.
7. Announcements
o Dive Certification Program—Per David Perinchief, ten kids have graduated from the
program. They had sixteen in total in the program. There are two more than they feel will
be getting certified once they are finished with their pool time. There are four that were
given an additional five lessons, but they do not think they will be passing the certification.
o Macros Family—A message was sent to Chuck Clark from the Macros Family. John "Jack"
Macros was celebrating his 901" birthday at the Beverly Depot. Cory and Chuck went and
presented him a citation and a life membership to Beverly Vietnam Veterans. Honor Flight
New England will be taking Jack and fifty-nine other veterans to Washington D.C. to see the
memorials on September 171". It is a one-day trip. During the trip,Jack will be given an
envelope full of letters from school children, family, and friends. Anyone that would like a
letter can mail it to Honor Flight New England c/o John Macros 9/17, PO Box 16287,
Hooksett, NH 03106.
o Beverly Vietnam Veterans Memorial-Chuck Clark was at the plaza and noticed someone
affixed a bronze plaque that says "Jerry'. It was placed on the wall, behind the legs of the
statue. It had previously been decided not to name the statue after a particular person
because it was designed to honor everybody that was drafted and signed up for service at
that time. This plaque defaces public property and will be removed.
o Goat Hill—The park at the back of Goat Hill is being renovated. David and Ken have already
pulled the veteran plaques and Ken is working on restoring them. David has told the
residents doing the renovations about the SHRAB Grant from the State.
o Communication—Nick Parianos will be joining the council in September and one of his
priorities is communication. The minutes are not updated on the Veterans Council website.
There are no minutes after 2019. Nick is going to run the social media aspect of the council.

the original email regarding Kevin being appointed and forward it to Todd Rotondo and Matt
St. Hilaire.
