Old Business
Dog Park The members of the committee took a walk around the over flow parking
area at Lynch Park. There were neighbors and citizens present to
express their opinion to the proposal of an off leash area at Lynch Park.
Discussion included the how the area could be fenced to enclose the
dogs. It was observed that the area proposed is close to the neighbors.
The area also does not have a buffer zone.
It was suggested that the committee take a look at Dane St. Park. The
meeting was recessed at 8:45 am so the committee could reassemble at
Dane St. Park.
The committee walked the area at Dane St. Park overlooking the
playground. This area could be fenced to contain an off leash area.
There would need to be a buffer zone with the playground equipment.
There is already a buffer zone with the neighbors. The committee
present felt this is an area to be discussed.
Next Meeting, Tuesday, December 17, 2002, 7:00pm at the Beverly Public Library.
