suggested that we get as many people as possible to call Mike about
these bills. Letter to editor and article in newspapers was also
suggested. Letters will be send to all last years caf~p parents asking
for their support.

Met with Lisa Hutchinson from Design Plus regarding the design for the
Lynch Park sign. She brought sketches from their review. The different
options were discussed. Motion was made to select the option with the

It must now go to the Design Review Board for approval.
Mari talked about "Playground Works" program. Program basically designed
to deal with playground equipment needs not fields. Mari and Joan felt
necessity and safety concerns should be the guide as to which parks to
start with. Ward councilors will be recruited.
Tom Scully suggested that the Commission needs to put together a list
for the Mayor describing what the Commission would like to see done at
locations such as Norwoods Pond, etc.
Discussed the need for a separate meeting soley devoted to this issue.
Meeting was set for November 13th at the Library.
Discussed a request from a cycling group who would like to use Lynch
Park as a starting and ending spot next October. Would involve about
200 people.
The barn/would be needed in case of rain for morning coffee
and lunch (which Joan would have to arrange) following the event. The
fee the group is charging would only allow for about $9 per person to
cover food and other expenses. Joan asked the Commission their opinion
on hosting such an event at Lynch. Joan spoke to the Mayor who asked
that the City Council be consulted. It was suggested that Joan contact
N.S. Pathways for assistance.
