GEORGE HELLER LICENSE BOARD CITY OF BEVERLY MASSACHUSETTS MINUTES OF MEETING - LICENSE BOARD - OCTOBER 2, 1997 Meeting called to order at 6:05 p.m Mr. Terry and Mr. Cook present. Mr. Heller absent. Chairman Terry introduced the Board members. 1. Application from Bella Italia dba Bella Venezia for a transfer of location to 218 Cabot Street Beverly and to add cordials and liqueurs to their license. Ms. Alvarez present. Submitted green cards - Churches notified? Yes. Mr. Cook - It appears the Baptist Church is missing. You sent notice to abutters? Yes. You sent letter to churches? Yes. Did you have any response from them? No. You have a Purchase and Sale Agreement? No. Contract only. The Board needs a copy of Landlord's Consent to Assignment. What will your hours be? Monday - Friday Lunch 11:30 - 2:30. Dinner hours will be 5:00 - 10:00 p.m. We will also need a copy of the floor plan. You will need to file a;new affidavit and add the manager's name to the application. Motion by Mr. Terry to deny the application for non-compliance of Section 138 Section 15A. Seconded by Mr. Terry. Motion carried 2-0. Motion made and seconded to allow Bella Venezia to re-file their application and re-advertise a public hearing. Motion carried 2-0. 2. One-day licenses - following one-day licenses: Applications received for the Minutes - October 2, 1997 Page 2 YMCA for their Annual Auction Beverly Hospital for their annual fundraiser Beverly Bootstraps Pantry for a fundraiser. application included a request for waiver of the fee. made and seconded to deny request for fee waiver. carried 2-0. The Motion Motion Motion made and seconded to approve the one-day licenses. Motion carried 2-0. Clerk asked to check Ordinances for License Board duties. Next meeting to be October 16, 1997.
