March 21, 1968 4 P.M.
The regular Trustees meeting was held on the above date. In attendance were Miss StandIcy, Dr.
Murray, Mr. Bunker and Mr. Lovett.
The records and finance sheets were read and discussed.
A long discussion of parking in the back lot, changing to one hour instead of two. This matter to wait
for the April meeting, to decide.
Suggested that the iron work at the Main Library be painted for the 300th Anniversary.
Recommended: to microfilm back copies of the Beverly Times, this to decide at the April meeting.
Recommended: the Farms Library Hall be used on March 25, for the Annual meeting of the Beverly
Farms Associates.
Long discussion of the 300th Anniversary of Beverly was held. Mr. Bunker suggested that 5000
Book Marks be printed advertising the events to be held at the Library and outstanding events of the
City. Recommended: Library-Tuesday, June 25, 8 - 9 there would be an hour of poetry--readings of
local poets by Miss Carolyn Standley with coffee served during the hour. June 27, Thursday 4 - 6 a
tea or punch party for local authors, inviting the public to both programs. Also, during the month of
June have exhibits of local interest throughout the Library.
