A special meeting was called by Mrs. Conrad and Mr. Hyde to discuss the new desk that is to be
presented to the Library by the Rotary Club.
Present were Mrs. Conrad, Miss StandIcy, Mr. Brown, Mr. Lancaster, Mr. Hyde, Mr. Tooracy and
the new President of the Rotary Club, Mr. Phillip Olson.
After discussion ofthe units ofthe new desk, Mr. Hyde and Mr. Olson very strongly felt that a library
program should be set up for the June 21 meeting of Rotary:-- Mrs. Conrad presented a short history
of the Library and recommendations for a capital improvement program. Mrs. Eva Patch, Head of
Circulation spoke briefly on the activities at the main desk and Mrs. IsabeH Gibbs, Young Adults
Librarian spoke about the work with the Young Adults.
Mr. Olson agreed to this progrant. The meeting adjourned at 4:35 P.M.
Mr. Olson was taken on a tour of the building.
