The regular meeting of the Trustees was held on the above date at the Library. Those in attendance
were Mrs. Conrad, presiding, Miss StandIcy, Mr. Lancaster, Mr. Hyde, Mr. Pierce, Mr. Tooracy and Mr.
Cagan.
The records of the previous meeting were approved as read, as were the Finance Sheets after careful study. A
discussion was held concerning the 1962 Budget. Mr. Tooracy stated that he had discussed the budget with the
Mayor who agreed to most of the budget, however he would not allow any addition to the Staff or bookmobile.
As the Farms roof needs to be replaced he would allow, but would not allow for a larger bookmobile.
After discussion, Mrs. Conrad explained that the Trustees should set the amount to pay the pages, even ff we
must cut down to give increases-in order to keep the trained personnel.
For administration Mr. Toomey read a report from Fire Inspector of buildings Albert B. Weston. Both Farms
and Main Library need some changes such as switch board change at Farms and wall plugs should replace
cords both at Farms and Main.
Mrs. Conrad reported as to the new renovation at the Farms and how attractive it was, the money used from
the Moffett bequest. However she feels that a new card cabinet is necessary.
Because so many chairs should be retired it was decided to purchase very soon a reasonable number.
After discussion of the yearly report it was decided to have 5000 copies printed, have something catchy and
attractive.
