The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held in the Library on Thursday, April 26,
at 7:30 P.M.
Since only three members were present - Messrs. Delaney, Foster and Small - all action taken
was subject to ratification at the next meeting of the Board.

Finance Committee giving expenditures and balances to date.

This report was accepted as information.
The Circulation Committee recommended the purchase of 264 books and the receipt of 9
gifts.
Voted: that this recommendation be approved.
A letter was received from the American Legion Auxiliary, Earl T, Wardell Unit 12, enclosing
a check for ten dollars, to be used for additional books or magazines for the Legion shelf in the
Reading Room.
It was voted to accept the gift, with gratitude; and to follow the Unit's suggestion that part
of the money be used to pay for a subscription to the American Historical Review - a magazine of
great value to all students of history.
The report of the Librarian was read and placed on file.
Mr. Delaney was asked to find out what, if anything, the City Government is doing in the way
of making plans for post-war building, and how the Library Trustees should go about filing plans for
a new Childtens Library on the land on Winter Street.
