A meeting of the Trustees of the Beverly Public Library was duly held on Saturday the 28th
day of October, 1916, at 3:30 o'clock p.m.
There were present of the Board, Mr. Driver, Miss Loring, Miss Sohier, Miss Whitney,
Messrs. Kilham, Webber, Woodberry and Baker.
The records of the last meeting were read and approved.
The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 51 titles and reported the
receipt of two (2) titles as gifts; whereupon it was, on motion.
Voted:
That the recommendation of the Committee on Circulation with respect to 51 titles
be adopted and the thanks of the Trustees be extended to those who have made gifts.
The Finance Committee made a report of the financial condition of the Library to Nov. 1.
On motion it was
Voted:
That the Finance Committee be authorized to request the city authorities to transfer
the sum of $250 from Maintenance account to Salary account.
On motion it was
Voted:
To appropriate the sum of $200 in addition to the amount heretofore appropriated
from the income from trust funds, for the purchase of books.
Voted to adjourn.
