A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on Saturday the 25th day of July, 1914
at 3:30 o'clock pm.
There were present of the Trustees: Miss Loring, Messrs. Driver, Bulkeley, Webber,
Woodberry and Baker.
The records of the last meeting were read and approved.
The Committee on Circulation recommended the purchase of 56 titles present, and requested
approval of certain other titles ordered but not received.
On motion it was
Voted: That the recommendation of the Committee on Circulation be adopted and that the
Committee be authorized to purchase not exceed 15 additional titles.
The Committee on Circulation be authorized to purchase The Young Folks Treasury, and that
such purchase shall be made direct from the publisher.
The Finance Committee presented a report on the financial condition of the Library to August
I st.
On recommendation of the Finance Committee it was
Voted:
That the compensation of Miss Elise Woodbury, an Assistant Librarian in charge of the
Children's Department be fixed at the rate of $450 per year beginning Aug. 1, 1914.
On motion it was
Voted:
That the matter of the purchase of the Jewish Encyclopedia be referred to the Committee on
Circulation with power to act.
The Committee on Circulation presented a comparative statement of circulation etc.
On motion it was
Voted:
That the matter of paying the substitute janitor be left to the Finance Committee with power
to act.
On motion it was
Voted to adjourn
