The regular meeting of the Trustees was held this Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.
Present Miss Loring, Messrs. Driver, Kilham, Bulkeley, Webber and Dodge.
The record of Dec. 27th was read and approved.
Voted To accept the report of the committee on circulation with reference to 64 titles present. 8 gifts
and 1 port-folio of views of Venice of today, by E. Hopkinson Smith.
Voted That the thanks of the board be tendered Mr. Wm. Endicott of Boston for the gift of a volume
entitled "Old Silver of American Churches."
Voted To accept the report of the finance committee with reference to the maintenance of the Library
for 1914 and adopt the recommendation with reference to the new schedule of salaries to take effect
January 1 st 1914 - viz -
Librarian Miss Manha P. Smith $1000.00
Assistants Miss Jennie P. Dodge 600.00
Miss Ethel S. Dodge 600.00
Miss Marjorie Stanton 600.00
Voted That the compensation of Miss Elsie Woodbury be placed on a salary basis referred to the
finance committee.
Voted To accept with thanks a set of copies of the series of mural paintings by Alexander in the
Congressional Library called "The Evolution of the Book" see letter on file, from the Lothrop Club.
Voted To add the "Happy Land" to our list of magazines.
Voted That the matter of discontinuing Harpers Weekly magazine be referred to the committee on
circulation.
Voted That the finance committee be authorized to employ such additional help with reference to
the care of building and grounds as may be deemed expedient.
